PentaWave System
PhotoMachining, Inc.
is proud to introduce the PentaWave materials processing system. Specifically
designed for R&D, applications development and small lot production
runs, the Pentawave combines maximum flexibility with user friendly operation.
Five laser wavelengths (10 micron, 1 micron, 532 nm, 355 nm, 266 nm)
are available from two different laser sources with changeover taking less
than 30 minutes. The standard system consists of a 100 W sealed CO2
laser and a 20 Hz repetition rate, high pulse energy, flashlamp pumped,
solid state laser.
Higher power laser sources are available as options. Other features
include a welded metal frame with granite motion base, 12 inch X/Y stages,
6 inch rotary stage and 2 inch Z stage.
PhotoMachining, Inc. is pleased to offer the FIRST five color system
for materials processing and applications related R&D. Simple, flexible,
highly productive and affordable, PentaWave is designed to maximize performance
to cost. University, government and industrial researchers will find the
PentaWave to be the tool of choice for investigating material properties
of ceramics, plastics, metals, CVD diamond, thin films or other exotic
materials.
Tripled YAG
PhotoMachining, Inc. announces the 'BluWave' UV, Nd:YAG laser processing system.
The basic system is available with 12"x12" X/Y table (2 micron repeatability), fixed beam delivery with co-axial gas flow, off axis camera alignment and uses the Coherent AviaŽ frequency tripled (up to 3 W at 355 nm) laser.
The laser is compact, very stable and requires no cooling water. UV YAG processing can give 'excimer like' quality when processing many materials and at many times the typical excimer processing speeds.
Options include larger tables, galvanometer based beam steering and machine vision. The system is also available with a frequency quadrupled laser. System control is through a PentiumŽ computer using PhotoMachining proprietary software. Samples can be processed and demos can be made at PhotoMachining using our in-house UV laser systems
Flat Panel Repair
PhotoMachining, Inc. announces the FPR2000, flat panel laser repair tool. This tool is useful in the
manufacture of flat panel products including touch screens and digital x-ray detectors. The tool uses
a very high precision x/y linear table with 0.1 micron encoders and feedback which is mapped to traceable
standards to better than 2 micron accuracy over a 24" x 24" area.
The laser source is a New Wave green/UV laser delivered through a Mitutoyu microscope head with automated
objective changing and automated z axis adjustment to compensate for part irregularities. These two
wavelengths allow the removal of a variety of thin films. Other lasers are available as an option.
Excimer
PhotoMachining engineers have a wealth of experience in excimer laser contract manufacturing and system
design. We can integrate custom configurations with simple imaging, all the way up to multi-axes motion,
complex optical trains and machine vision.
Optical demagnification from 2x to 30x with purged beam delivery is also available. Excimer production
tools are fully enclosed and interlocked, conforming to all CDRH class I requirements. Integrated gas
cabinets assure minimal contamination from gas lines.
All excimer systems use PhotoMachining control software. Our fully equipped excimer laboratory allows us
to do proof of principle before system design and build.
